Glen Avon 1955 (Gordon and MacPhail)

Glen Avon 1955 Bottling Note

A 1955 Glen Avon, distilled in a unnamed distillery. This is a smooth, smoky and sherried dram, matured in a first fill sherry butt.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

The nose is of medium-body with gorgeous notes of fresh fruits, there are some honey undertones with a touch of spice and pepper. The oak is soft and toasty. The palate is complex yet light. There are notes of fresh fruit salad and honey, a touch of barley and a wistful peat smoke. There are some mixed peel notes. The finish is of good length with a little toasty oak character.
