Garrison Brothers Bourbon Bottling Note

Straight bourbon from Garrison Brothers, the first legal whiskey distillery in Texas! Highly rated by Jim Murray in his Whisky Bible, this Lone Star state whisky is produced in Hye. (That's Hye, not Rye.)

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Classic bourbon notes of honeyed toasty oak and wood spices.

Palate: Sweet entry, big but rounded with notes of blackcurrant and liquorice in support.

Finish: Lingering spice and white coffee notes.

Overall: Classic bourbon from a craft distillery that was ahead of the curve.

Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon 2015 Reviews

Bold and Smooth

The 2015 is bolder and darker on color than any of the single barrels I have tried. It has the normal vanilla and oak with a bit more of the black pepper spice in the finish.
