Firean Bottling Note

Firean is a lightly peated, no age statement blended Scotch whisky that marries malt from Speyside and the Highlands with grans from the Highlands and Lowlands. The blend is then aged in Scotland in American oak bourbon casks and re-made hogsheads. Firean is Gaelic for Golden Eagle, a few of which you may be able to spot on the bottle.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet peat and lovely malty aromas.

Palate: Light whispers of dry peat smoke surround delicate floral notes, vanilla and oak spices.

Finish: A gentle finish as the peat smoke slowly fades.

Super for it’s price

I know what is 18 yo Lagavulin.
This whisky is less long finished with peat smoke. But price is 5 time less. Little bit strange that it has taste different details through bottles but then I had discovered that it has different blends.
Blend # 5 bottle line 3 is amazing.

Good. price/value ok

Quite good in whisky-cola. Even claimed as “Old Reserve” it isn’t specified how old actually it is.
