FEW & Flaming Lips Rye Bottling Note

A collaborative rye whiskey from the excellent FEW Spirits in Evanston, Illinois, and legendary psychedelic rock band The Flaming Lips! Their Brainville Rye (named after a song on The Flaming Lips' brilliant album 'Clouds Taste Metallic') is made with rye, corn, malted barley grown within 150 miles of the distillery, as well as French wine yeast. 5,000 bottles were produced, with a aptly out-there label design. We recommend enjoying while listening to 'Transmissions from the Satellite Heart', 'The Soft Bulletin' or the aforementioned 'Clouds Taste Metallic', because those are all flawless albums (their newest one, 'Oczy Mlody', is cracking too).

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Mint leaf and apple blossom. Toasted oak develops, with festive hints of cinnamon.

Palate: Well-rounded rye spiciness, joined by flamed orange peel, greengages and a pinch of quince.

Finish: Fizzy apple laces, leafy herbs and Swedish pepparkakor.
