This was distilled at Edradour on the 26th March 2002 before a maturation in hogsheads. On the 28th February 2011 it was re-racked into a Burgundy wine cask where it rested until early 2013. This is a rich, cask-strength whisky from Edradour's Straight from the Cask range.
Nose: Sherried, fruity nose. Hints of cooked apple, redcurrant jelly and malt.
Palate: Hints of toasted oak, a little strawberry jam and apricots. Salt caramel and barley.
Finish: Biscuity, fruity finish.
