Big Peat will be showing his face again at Fèis Ìle 2017! Douglas Laing have created another limited edition for the legendary Islay Festival - this time, they've finished the peaty Islay blended malt in Sherry casks (a first for the expression!). 1,600 bottles were produced.
These bottles were part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Nose: Honey glazed smoked meats, a touch of burnt caramel and sea salt.
Palate: Earthy and rich with bundles of smoke and oak. Quite creamy at points, with a touch of red berry.
Finish: Toasted malt, brioche and peat. Lots of peat.
