“Yep, I opened it. I really like the peated stuff, my wife bought this for me after the store owner recommended it. What a magnificently balanced whisky. Really Awesome and very satisfying! ”

Another entry into the Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition series, always a lovely treat when they get released. This one is a 1996 vintage which was finished in an Oloroso cask and bottled in 2012.

Nose

Sweet citrus notes, with an unmistakable heather fluttering.

Palate

Rich and sherried, delicious grapes and sprinkles of spice.

Finish

The spice grown hotter on the finish, wonderfully energetic.

Overall

A great vintage for Dalwhinnie.
