Named after and decorated with scenes from a Rabbie Burns poem and accompanied by a book containing over 50 illustrations by the late Alexander Goudie, this is a sensationally packaged Scottish gem.
A limited release of 5,000 bottles, Tam o'Shanter is a dark and wild 25 year old blended whisky from Cutty Sark.
Nose: Vanilla, brown sugar and rich dark fruit notes. Clove, nutmeg, allspice and marmalade too. Dark christmas cake with a little oak and leather furniture for good measure. Very intense and inviting.
Palate: More dark fruits, fresher now, alongside malt and sherry. Rich and nutty.
Finish: Very long, spicy with plenty of dark cocoa.
Overall: This is simply a fantastic blend.

By far one of the best whiskies I've ever tasted! Would catch many single malts with their pants down and it is an extremely complex whisky with lots of dark fruits, toffee and sherry coming through, with vague wisps of peat on the finish. Even the nose is outstanding!Without doubt in the top 5 whiskies for me and I can only lament that it's a limited bottling
