The most famous of all the Canadian whiskies, Crown Royal is made with over 50 different whiskies, and they've been making it for over 70 years. It was first created in 1939 to celebrate the visit of King George VI to Canada.
CR is better than most Canadian blends and certainly better than American blends such as Kessler , Henderson , and Eleven Jones. I always keep a bottle of CR in the cupboard and managed to score a bottle of CR Barrel strength when I was on a trip to Dallas last year.At 103 proof CR barrel strength is an incredible pour As a rule I prefer straight bourbon Bottled in Bond like Evan Williams,Old Granddad or Old Forester. But canadian whiskey is a nice change of pace and it is hard to beat CR. Though I must say Pendleton is fast emerging her in the US as a top selling Canadian blend
VO is smother. Lesser bite. Sorry Crown.
I think this whisky tastes like Black Velvet but smoother and less burn. I prefer bourbons, scotches and irish whisky's a lot more than this but it isn't offensive. I wouldn't turn it down if a friend offered it to me but I wouldn't buy it myself again.
Creo que es un whisky suave, con notas dulces que me recuerdan a la natilla navideña, unas notas de vainilla, una especie de cremosidad que me recuerdan algun lacteo, un final con un leve picante que te recuerda a la pimienta negra, agradable
I can't drink this straight without puking, you are better off with something else
