Craigellachie 14 Year Old 2007 (cask 19136) - The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
An enchanting addition to The First Editions range from independent bottler Hunter Laing. This single malt Scotch was distilled at Craigellachie back in 2007, and filled into a single sherry butt, where it stayed put for the next 14 years. In 2022, the cask was opened, releasing a total outturn of 298 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Summer fruits with sweet notes of chocolate raisins balancing vegetal barley beneath.
Palate
Creamy fudge, soft sultanas, and tart berries tangle with peppery oak and nutty malt.
Finish
A good hit of gingery heat arrives towards the end, with honeyed stone fruit and zesty spice in tow.
