Peat Monster 10th Bottling Note

Celebrating 10 years of peaty goodness, Compass Box has let loose a special edition of the Peat Monster. A delicious vatted malt, made to have more malty richness than the regular Monster, alongside the powerful peat-reek pleasures.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Surprisingly enough, there's an intense peaty aroma and scorched seaside earth but added fruity notes of apples make it very inviting.

Palate: Compass Box have found a good balance between coastal peat and softer maltiness. Water brings out some hidden vanilla.

Finish: Long, balanced and peaty. Quite dreamy!

Overall: A excellent birthday gift for the Peat Monster.

Compass Box Peat Monster 10th Anniversary Reviews

Compass Box Peat Monster 10th Anniversary

Some one whispered:

There's "A remarkable and exceptional whisky: peaty, yes, but so distinctly and perfectly soft and smooth and balanced oilyish, so that the only words I can add are "just sublime". For me a very rare whisky!

Somewhere I read these touching words "Finer minds than mine have deduced that the distilleries in question are quite likely to be Laphroaig, Caol Ila, Ardmore, and Clynelish" (tastes I like!).
