An intense Clynelish, aged for 15 years in a single sherry butt, distilled in December 1995 and bottled by Signatory in 2011. A release of 629 bottles.
Fruity and salty. Hints of pear cider, gentle smoke, notes of the coast and oak. A little wood ash too.
Sweet, rich and creamy with notes of salt beef bagels and plum wine. Some pepper, some more of that pear cider, and a little gingernut biscuit.
Good length and very fruity. It becomes quite briny with subtle notes of burnt apple peel.
