A beautiful blended malt whisky from Islay. This was created by the recently re-launched Clan Denny range from Douglas Laing, and is made up of 7 Islay malts including whisky from Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain and Caol Ila. Bottled non-chillfiltered of course!
Nose: Sweet and earthy nose, with rich peaty smoke, linseed oil, coastal air, grist and iodine.
Palate: A rich, full palate with salt caramels and a big whack of fruity, medicinal peat. Butterscotch provides sweetness, and notes of sticking plasters, digestive biscuit and ginger add complexity and depth.
Finish: Long and smoky, a touch of peat and salt on the tail.

Spicy, just the right about of peaty smoke, and a hint of butterscotch sweetness. This has become my new favorite!
