Well aged grain whisky from the closed Carsebridge distillery, bottled by Signatory for La Maison du Whisky's Hogshead series. It spent over 38 years in a single cask between October 1976 and August 2015, with a final outturn of 184 bottles.
Nose: Treacle, some yeast, lime, fruity rye-like notes and kalakand.
Palate: Cinnamon, vanilla, more kalakand and all manner of exotic spice.
Finish: Candied peels, nougat, molasses and rose water.

Bouche : ferme, puissante. De la vanille-bourbon et du caramel au beurre salé tapissent les parois du palais. Simultanément, des épices fortes (gingembre, badiane) et des bâtons de réglisse lui procurent beaucoup d’assise. Remarquablement construite, elle gagne sans cesse en finesse et en complexité. De la poudre de cacao, du gingembre râpé et des grains de riz sont les principaux protagonistes de son évolution vers toujours plus de suavité.
