Caperdonich 18 Year Old 1994 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)

Caperdonich - 1994 Bottling Note

This is an eighteen year old bottling from the mothballed distillery of Caperdonich.

This whisky has been bottled at 50%abv without chill-filtration as a part of Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask Range.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: There is a wealth of salted caramel and vanilla pods with a hint of charcoal and dried stone fruits.

Palate: Charred oak and dried red berries form a dry and spicily complex flavour profile.

Finish: The is long with vanilla and menthol notes, just before the end a hint of green boiled sweets emerges.

Overall: Caperdonichs are always a fantastic experience to taste and this one demonstrates why.
