Caol Ila 6 Year Old 2011 (cask 12090) - Clan Denny (Douglas Laing)

Caol Ila 6yo 2011 #12090 Bottling Note

Single cask Caol Ila? Glorious! This was distilled in February 2011 on the Isle of Islay, and matured in a refill hogshead for 6 years, until August 2017. It was bottled for the Clan Denny range by Douglas Laing with an outturn of just 415 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A whiff of sea air, with gristy notes of vanilla and fresh barley underneath.

Palate: Quite peppery up front, but softer notes of gooseberry and beeswax balance it out.

Finish: Drying on the finish.
