Caol Ila 15yo (SR 2016) Bottling Note

Another year and another excellent unpeated Caol Ila for the Special Releases. This is the first of these unusual Islay malts to have been distilled this millennium, being filled into refill American oak hogsheads and refill European oak butts back in the year 2000.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Very creamy with milk bottle sweets, subtle citrus and hints of butterscotch.

Palate: Warming and a little more toffee'd now with hedgerow greenery and fruit.

Finish: Milk chocolate and soft oak provide a clean finish.
