A 14 Year Old Caol Ila, independently bottled by Ian Macleod. It was distilled back in November 2004 on Islay and left to mature in a duo of hogsheads. The casks were cracked open in May 2019 and the liquid was bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain's series, with a limited release of 932 bottles.
Nose: Floral malt, smoked thyme, melted dark chocolate with a drizzle of honey and nectarine.
Palate: Orchard fruits balance with maritime salinity, with salted caramel and a sea breeze.
Finish: Toasty oak and barbecued lemon peel.
