Caol Ila 11YO 2004 Bottling Note

An 11 year old Caol Ila, bottled by the wonderful chaps at Gordon & MacPhail! This is a blend of whiskies drawn from four casks filled by the outstanding Islay distillery - it was distilled in December 2004 and bottled in January 2016.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Grilled pineapple, citrus and a light waft of smoke.

Palate: Oily and mouth-filling. More orchard fruits, with a whisper of black pepper crackers.

Finish: Lemon zest, salted caramel and a pop of dry spice.

Caol Ila 11 Year Old 2004 - Cask Strength (Gordon & MacPhail) Reviews

#RESPECT, NCF, NC

2004 CS from G&M, maybe a little bit less awesome as the '03 release but such a clean smokey and fruity whisky, love this stuff. The complexity is fun to work through and if you give this 30 min, you will be rewarded. Strong, but don't add too much water, time is better.

Another example of a better bottling than the OB. Natural color, non-chill filtered. #Respect
