Cameronbridge 27yo TBWC

Sublime single grain Scotch whisky from the Cameronbridge Distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company after 27 years of patient maturation. Dr. Patrick Barrie, multi-time Tiddlywinks World Singles Champion, graces the label with his steely gaze as he lines up a wink. The crowd waits in anticipation. The other winks in the cup look forward to having a new friend join them. It's an action-packed label, for sure.

Batch 4 is a release of 2,120 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Vanilla ice cream, tropical fruit and little sharp green apple, then orange blossom, banana foam sweets, and milk chocolate. A touch of anise is there too, as well as a little baking spice.

Palate It’s a sweet and delicately spiced palate. Caramelised fresh pineapple, coconut snowballs and earthy vanilla, which is followed by toffee and a little drying nutmeg.

Finish White chocolate and orange wine gums linger.

Overall Well-balanced and rewarding.

Reviews for Cameronbridge 27 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Nice, but doesn’t remotely taste like a 27yo
It’s a nice floral, quite rich grain whisky, but looks suspiciously clear for a 27yo. Additionally it has a very short finish, which again is rather disappointing for a bottle with a number 27 on it.
If you are used to non age statement Japanese grain whiskies, you might be wondering what happened in these casks during all this time.
Still for the price, it’s a rather nice dram to have.
Keep your expectations low, and you shouldn’t be (too) disappointed.

This is quite the ginger snap!
You drink this sip by sip and suck on each sip as you swirl it in your mouth.
The concentration of this scotch mildly scorches the tongue whilst offering the
mind the true taste of the lowlands. A mineral load prevails.
