Burnt Bridges Blended Whiskey

Burnt Bridges Whiskey Bottling Note

Burnt Bridges Blended Whiskey takes the deliciousness of Burnt Ends and dials it right up to 10! This limited release expression carries a 10 year old age statement, and has been made with a 50:50 blend of Tennessee bourbon and sherry cask-finished peated single malt Scotch whisky, resulting in a huge, powerful flavour profile. The inspiration from the USA's barbeque joints is on full display here, with meaty, smoky, spicy notes complemented by hints of sweetness, now with additional depth and richness imparted by the well-aged whiskies at its heart.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Barrel char, smoky bacon, a little maple syrup, savoury malt, tobacco, leading into a hint of brown butter.

Palate Toasted sugar and vanilla, moving into spicy cassia and oak, honey roast peanuts, meaty notes developing throughout (brisket, ham, and sausages), then more demerara sugar.

Finish A long, smoky finish with a touch of ash, and barbeque sauce sweetness lingering.

Overall It's like Burnt Ends, but way, way bigger!

Reviews for Burnt Bridges Blended Whiskey
A great dram marrying classic flavours
Beautifully balanced, with the signature peatiness of the Islay single malt followed up by the sweet brown sugar notes from the bourbon. One to sip and savour over ice late in the evening.

Modern Classic
Honestly the best whiskey I’ve tasted in the last few years. Big old glass, couple of ice cubes, nobody is sad anymore.

Smoke, smoke, smoke
I expected some smokiness but, for me, this was way too smoky. i thought the hard edges of the single malt would combine with the soft side of the bourbon but instead they fought each other. If you love a full on smoky blast, then this is for you. I felt more like I'd been eating Frazzles.

Simple... It just tastes amazing!
I honestly think you don't get the bbq sauce aftertaste of the original Burmt Ends, but WOW, this is a gorgeous drink. Imagine the best bourbon coupled with quality aged whisky... that is exactly what you get. Will definitely buy more. No faff, or pretentiousness, just a really good drink.

This deserves an award. Hugely rich and cohesive with it.
