Haven Trail 1990 Bottling Note

A single cask bottling of Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch whisky, distilled in 1990, aged in a hogshead and bottled in 2016 by Wemyss Malts. As Wemyss often do, they've given it an evocative name to hint towards the whisky's flavour profile - for this Islay whisky, they've bestowed it the name 'Haven Trail'. 236 bottles were produced.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fragrant malt, with apples, pears and some dry cedar.

Palate: Lemon sweetness starts off the palate, before a big wave of cooking spice and coastal air comes along.

Finish: Toffee apples and light peat.

Haven Trail 1990 (bottled 2016) - Wemyss Malts (Bunnahabhain) Reviews

Great dram

Really loved this bottling of Bunnahabhain by Wemyss. I've had several of their bottlings and they are always great. This one was one of my favorites. Fruity, bit of spice, toffee and a hint of peat.
