Bittersweet Baklava 1988 Bottling Note

A little-known bakery-based remix of that popular single by The Verve? Nope, it's another deliciously-named indie bottling by Wemyss Malts! This is a 1988 vintage Bunnahabhain, aged in a hogshead until 2017, when it was bottled at 46% ABV with an outturn of 221 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Brown sugar, camphor, jasmine tea and a hint of chilli powder.

Palate: Sour cherries and butter malt. Somewhat vegetal at points, with the rich oak showing of this whisky's age gracefully.

Finish: Honeycomb, filo pastry, almond.
