Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Bunnahabhain 24 Year Old 1987 - The Octave (Duncan Taylor) to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution, but until then, here are some alternatives:

Bunnahabhain Octave Bottling Note

This comes from Duncan Taylor's Octave range, where fine whiskies are recasked into "octave casks" - much smaller than regular hogsheads, these allow the whisky to age faster and absorb more spicy flavour from the oak. This was distilled at Bunnahabhain in 1987 and was aged for 24 years.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich and fresh, notes of the coast: salt spray, driftwood, wet pebbles on a beach. Quite fruity too, notes of apple peel and tinned peaches, and just a hint of sweet vanilla.

Palate: Sweet and spiced. Notes of chicory, walnut and dried apple. A little butterscotch and hints of iodine, gentle smoke and salt. Big on malt, which develops with spicy intent.

Finish: Medium length with notes of sweet, steely white wine.
