This Bunnahabhain was distilled from peated malt in 1997 and aged for 13 years in a refill sherry cask before it was bottled by Adelphi. This was bottled in aid of the genesis research trust, and there are 369 bottles in total.
Nose: Rich and spicy with notes of smoked meats, granary toast, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, hints of spent match, salt and pepper and malt.
Palate: Thick, syrupy, with notes of seaweed, cinder toffee, marshmallows cooked over a bonfire and camphor.
Finish: Good length, toffee, salty butter and hints of cool woodsmoke.
