Port Charlotte 14yo #846 Bottling Note

Smoky single malt from the Bruichladdich distillery on Islay, bottled under the Port Charlotte name for Ian Macleod's Chieftain's range. This one was aged in a single barrel for 14 years, from April 2003 to April 2018, before being bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 247 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Peanut shells, banana fritters, a hint of meaty malt.

Palate: Peppery at first, with smoke developing the heat further. A cooling hint of menthol appears later on.

Finish: Caramelised sultanas, pecan, flamed orange peel.
