Yummy peaty single malt from Bruichladdich, bottled under the Port Charlotte name by The Bottlers. This whisky was distilled in December 2001 and allowed to age in a refill Bourbon hogshead for 13 years, until it was bottled at cask strength in September 2015.

Nose: Flamed orange peel, fresh pineapple, tarmac and spiced oak.

Palate: Vegetal and rich, with generous waves of smoke all the way through. A hint of rhubarb crumble and custard hides in the background.

Finish: A long finish featuring notes of white pepper, tobacco and pear.
