Black Art 6.1 Bottling Note

The mysterious Black Art series from Bruichladdich continues with the 6.1 release. Don't expect to find out much about how this Islay single malt came to be, as the distillers won't be sharing much information (if any) of the casks it matured in.

Bruichladdich 26 Year Old 1990 - Black Art 6.1 Reviews

A stunning single malt from Bruichladdich! This is a must-have for any single malt lover

Incredibly rich and complex! Not a hint of smoke in this one. The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley has more smoke than Black Art 6.1, so don’t shy away from this Islay. It’s mainly fruity with plums, raisins, and Granny Smith apples but that is surrounded by a nutty character. Hazelnut, chestnut, or baked almonds, can’t quite decide which but it’s a nutty/woody/oiliness that compliments the fruit aspects so well. A long finish rewards the taster with dark chocolate and pineapple/mango flavours. We’ll never know how this was made but what we do know is that Bruihladdich and Adam Hannett have crafted and utter masterpiece. 95/100
