Bruichladdich 11yo '05 Bottling Note

Well-Sherried 11 year old single malt from the Bruichladdich distillery on the Isle of Islay, independently bottled by Douglas Laing. It was distilled in June 2005 and set aside to mature in a Sherry hogshead until November 2016, when it was bottled with an outturn of 185 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Raisins and prunes, mixed with almonds. Hot porridge dusted with cinnamon.

Palate: Brown sugar, Christmas cake, a touch of chocolate malt.

Finish: Milky coffee, more brown sugar, honey and clove.

What a drum! It tastes like a 20 year old well matured whisky. Indeed very different and very unique!

Umm well its different

This is different... at first smelled like a undermatured black arts but the more it breaths ive never hade something smell like such strong oak literally wood. Cedar shavings at the bottom of a hamster cage crazy. Hopefully some oxygen can let it air out more in bottle not quite sure how i feel 72/100 for now
