Bruichladdich 9 YO 2001 Bottling Note

A second of two special releases to mark the acquisition and rebirth of the Islay distillery, originally founded in 1881. Distilled in 2001 and matured in bourbon casks, 2,500 unpeated bottles were produced and originally released for Fèis Ìle 2011. A piece of Islay whisky history.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet, spicy, notes of gingernut biscuit, syrup and rum. Fruity and very rich. Soft cedar and oak.

Palate: Very robust with notes of butterscotch, sweet bourbon spices, vanilla cream, apple peels and candy floss.

Finish: Big finish with notes of custard and ginger.
