Part of the Bruichladdich First Growth, but, curiously, not a first growth. Pomerol is one appellation that does not have designations like Premier Cru. Nonetheless, the top Pomerol wines (Le Pin, Pétrus for example) command high prices and are world renowned. This was finished in Chateau Lafleur barrels. Nose: Medium body. Elegant and lush with notes of stone fruits, raspberry, strawberry. Oily wood, dry ropes.
Palate: Big, clean. Stemmy, moist grass. Forest fruits, estery, tannins.
Finish: Long, herbal, green pepper, fennel, gentle sweetness.
