Bruichladdich - 1991 Bottling Note

Distilled in 1991, this cask strength single malt was bottled in May of 2008, having been matured in refill sherry hogsheads, a rare independent bottling from Gordon and MacPhail.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

There is a good freshness to the nose, which is spirity and perfumed. There are notes of cut stemmy cut hay and a leafy greenness. There are notes of pepper and cereal sweetness, a touch of oil nuttiness with a touch of light peat. The palate is quite full and well-balanced. There are notes of rubbed petals and a touch of dried fruit, barley sugar and green oak. The finish is fruity and quite well-spiced.
