Braeval 14 YO 2001 #10963 Bottling Note

An independent bottling of Braeval single malt, matured in a single Sherry butt for 14 years - although you'd never know it from the colour! The colour is of course natural, however, whereas many other whiskies will add caramel (E150a) to alter the appearance. 383 bottles were produced when Douglas Laing decided this whisky was ready in November 2015.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dark honey, a little treacle and redcurrant with light wood spice.

Palate: Subtle creamy cereals and hints of that fruity Sherry cask influence.

Finish: Caramel and roasted barley.
