This was distilled at Bowmore in Autumn of 2000 and aged for 10 years in a single refill hogshead before bottling for the Provenance range from Douglas Laing in Autumn of 2010. Deliciously malty, gently smoked whisky.
Nose: Soft smoke, iodine and salt caramels. Malt and black pepper, dry oak and maple spices.
Palate: Dry oak and crème caramel, oily smoke, salty butter and dry ropes. Rich and thick.
Finish: A medium-length, malty finish with fresh flowers on the tail.
