Bowmore Black 1964 Bottling Note

A very rare 42 year old from the Islay distillery, Bowmore. This single malt has been matured in Oloroso sherry casks and is part of a limited release of just 827 bottles. A legendary dram.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Utterly astounding. Excellent depth with a dark, yet gentle peat, a nutty oiliness and rich wood.

Palate: Develops with sublime intent. Robust and weighty, the peat has attained such an effortless presence, a nuttiness provides cud to chew and the balanced wood tannins bring a transcendent depth.

Finish: The smoke and rich peat develop throughout unto the finale, with a coastal tang and nut oil rearing their heads at the end.

Spectacular

Best whisky I've ever had. Impossible to find, but worth the price, collector or otherwise.
