Blair Athol 13yo #2309 Bottling Note

13 year old single malt from the Blair Athol Distillery, independently bottled by the ever fab Signatory. This single cask expression was distilled in June 2007 and aged in a hogshead until July 2020, when it was bottled up at 43% ABV. Tasty stuff from one of Scotland's oldest distilleries.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cinnamon biscuits and ginger snaps, with a hint of milky tea.

Palate: Quite nutty at first, with walnut and almond, before juicy apricot and white chocolate sweetness appears.

Finish: Subtly flinty, Frosties cereal and lemon peel.

Blair Athol 13 Year Old 2007 (cask 2309) - Signatory Reviews

Milky sweetness. Slightly smokey. Delicious.

Loved it! I would agree with everything the Masters of Malt said about this malt particularly the white chocolate. One of the sweetest milkiest single malts I’ve tasted.
However just to say I got no taste of ginger snaps. And they failed to comment on the smokiness. Not overpowering but enough to counterbalance the incredible white chocolate sweetness. I would definitely buy another bottle.

A beautifully balanced sweet and lightly smoked Highland Malt. Not to be missed.

Lovely sweet malt. Milk chocolate nutty warm spice
Finished with light smoke.
A very finely balanced malt definitely in my favourite list.
