Blair Athol is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries having occupied its site since 1798. This whisky was bottled by Berry Brothers and Rudd at thirteen years old without chill filtration.
Nose: Honey, ginger and warm Christmas spices intermingle on the nose.
Palate: The palate is reminiscent of roasted chestnuts, stewing apples and plenty of cinnamon.
Finish: The finish is long and spicy with a good dose of ginger for good measure.
Overall: This is a ginger-forward whisky that offers complexity and big bold flavours in equal measure.
