Blair Athol 11 Year Old 2007 (cask 3886) - James Eadie

Blair Athol 11yo #3886 Bottling Note

Distilled at Blair Athol in September 2007, this single malt was then aged for just over a decade, including an 11 month finish in a single first-fill American oak Malmsey Madeira hogshead. Malmsey is a white grape variety of Madeira, known for its brilliant sweetness. Finally, in 2019 the liquid was bottled by James Eadie, with 242 bottles drawn from the cask and bottled at cask strength, 58.4% ABV. A sweet and fruity expression.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sweet citrus peel and dried fruit balanced by fresh lemon, with apple cake full of cinnamon and ginger spices.

Palate: Honey and salted butter on fresh toast, with juicy orchard fruits and salted caramel chocolate.

Finish: Butterscotch and a good helping of fresh plum followed by a lengthy and spicy finish with lots of black pepper.
