This was distilled in May of 1989 at Blair Athol and it was aged for 22 years in cask 2926 before bottling by Duncan Taylor for their Rare Auld range in November 2011. A release of 277 numbered bottles at natural cask strength.
Nose: Toasty and spicy with toasted brioche, potpourri, nutmeg, mace and butterscotch.
Palate: Sweet and creamy, some aniseed, boiled sweets, calves leather and malt.
Finish: Leather, tobacco and honey.
