Blair Athol Directors Cut Bottling Note

A 16 year old, sherry butt-matured Blair Athol, specially bottled for Douglas Laing's stellar Director's Cut range. This was distilled in 1995 and bottled at natural cask strength in 2011…

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fruity and rich. Juicy notes of oranges, cooked apples and maple syrup. Slightly smoky, somehow, with notes of smoked and toasted almonds, barley sugar and toasted brioche.

Palate: Malty and sweet, notes of nutmeg, apple and cranberries. A very, very subtle hint of lapsang souchong tea, with honey and vanilla.

Finish: Malty and supple.
