A rare release of 23 year old Bladnoch, part of the rare malts range, distilled in 1977 and bottled in October of 2001 at cask strength. A rich, sophisticated offering from the Lowland distillery.
There is crispness to the nose. Clean citrus notes with a little fresh menthol here and there, leafy greenness and a mustiness with grist and burnt matches after a time. The palate is fresh and citrussy. With medium-body and herbal notes, a little green tea now and then. The finish is long and bittersweet with cereal notes and a fresh greenness.
