Blue Hanger 6th Bottling Note

This is the 6th release of top wine merchants Berry Brother's and Rudd's acclaimed blend "Blue Hanger", named for William Hanger, the third Lord Coleraine, who was said to often wear blue clothes, thus he was the blue hanger. People weren't as good at nicknames in those days.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A malty, spiced nose with notes of soft, supple stone fruit, hints of barley, sherried peels and almond.

Palate: A full, creamy palate with just a soupcon of smoke. A development of calves leather, with a touch of hazelnut, cocoa and apple wood.

Finish: Malty, spiced finish.

Blue Hanger - 6th Release (Berry Bros. & Rudd) Reviews

Pleasantly surprised

Tried this in Glasgow's Pot Still. Very dark & rich with balanced smokiness. Full bodied yet remaining quite smooth. I was pleasantly surprised as I was worried this may be another Johnnie Walker Blue Label which is almost undrinkable to me.
