Ben Nevis 8yo 2012 #14658 Bottling Note

Single cask single malt distilled by the excellent Ben Nevis Distillery (it's near the Ben Nevis mountain, wouldn't you believe it!). This one was filled into a refill hogshead in November 2012 and allowed to age for eight years until March 2021, when it was bottled with an outturn of 404 bottles. It was independently bottled for the Provenance range by Douglas Laing.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Vanilla and cask char, with a touch of orange oil giving it some lift.

Palate: Brown sugar, marmalade, flinty minerals, a hint of oatcake.

Finish: Creamy vanilla, aromatic peppercorn and barley, a smidge of crystallised ginger.
