Just look at how marvellously dark this whisky is. Regard it! This was distilled in 1966, before a 45 year maturation in sherry wood. It was bottled by Douglas Laing for their Director's Cut range, and there are just 119 bottles of it in the world…
Nose: Very rich and sherried, with notes of treacle and dates. Hints of sticky toffee pudding and walnut loaf, raspberry jam and a dusting of cocoa.
Palate: Spiced and warming. Notes of clove-studded oranges, peach juice, toasted oak and honey.
Finish: Peppermint, strawberries, bread and butter pudding.
