Bell's Original is a smooth, well-rounded whisky with a hint of smoke. It's perfect for enjoying neat or on the rocks.
Bell's whisky is the United Kingdom's most popular blended Scotch whisky, this is the standard release of Bell's Original, with notes of fresh herbs on the nose with cereal sweetness on the palate.
Quite soft and gentle. Malted barley and hints of cut herbs and a fresh floral note. Cereal and grist with a little honey.
Quite smooth, medium body. Barley and cereals with nut oils, hints of wood and spice.
Short with notes of fruitcake and smoke.
Can’t go wrong. More Earthy than other blends and well balanced. I really like it. I enjoy a nice malt now and again but this is decent. It’s pretty smooth too. But like anything enjoy in moderation…you don’t want a bad hangover to associate to a certain whisky…that can happen with a malt too!
To Me this Bells tastes completely different from the Bells 8 year old labelled whisky which in my mind tastes much better.
Soft toffee/ Barley with maple biscuits, ? for me it's a yum ?
Always wary when a product comes out in a new bottle. Sure enough, the Bells that is out now in Canada is not the same product. I am not a tasting expert but it use to have what I would call a dark warmth when drinking it. Now I keep waiting for that sensation and it never comes.
Bell's is my favorite Scotch. I just wish it were available in the US. I always bring some home when I visit the UK, but you can't bring much. Some of my UK friends laugh that I like such a low-cost Scotch, but my tastes are my tastes.
