Balblair 1975 2nd Release Bottling Note

This is the second edition of the superb Balblair 1975 - a rich whisky that is now the earliest vintage the distillery has to offer. Beautiful stuff, this was aged largely in American oak casks, which bring a creamy, spicy flavour.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Hints of cut hay and toffee apple. Fresh blossom, apple peel, allspice and sweet cinnamon.

Palate: Buttery, toasty palate entry with black pepper and stone fruit. Mixed peels and allspice.

Finish: Long, buttery, spiced finish with hints of cassia bark on the tail.

Overall: The American oak really shines through in the second edition.

Balblair 1975 - 2nd Release Reviews

Simply Amazing

I am not usually a straight scotch drinker, but this is so good words can not communicate how perfect. I was in Edinburgh in September 2013 and was told I should buy the 1975. I am glad I did! We just enjoyed out 10ml sampler on Father's Day and LOVED it. Wish there was more to buy.
