Autumn Warmer 1997 Bottling Note

A single cask Islay whisky from a secret distillery (let's just say its name rhymes with Moona-HAR-ven), this, as the name suggests, is a warming, spicy malt with loads of fruity flavour. Distilled in 1997, aged in a hogshead cask and bottled in 2011 by Wemyss Malts. A release of 360 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Caramel, pears and toffee apple on the nose, with notes of cinnamon, honey and granary toast.

Palate: Warming, spiced notes of Bramley apples stewed in syrup with cinnamon and nutmeg, a little sea air, peat smoke and toffee brittle.

Finish: Salty, buttery and spiced.

Autumn Warmer 1997 - Wemyss Malts (Bunnahabhain) Reviews

Delightful

This was my bottle for my annual end of year office dram. Wonderfully warming on the nose with heather honey notes. On the palate it becomes a gentle warmth with very gentle peat with a distinct autumnal feel.
Very much enjoyed across the Liv-Ex office.
