A single cask Islay whisky from a secret distillery (let's just say its name rhymes with Moona-HAR-ven), this, as the name suggests, is a warming, spicy malt with loads of fruity flavour. Distilled in 1997, aged in a hogshead cask and bottled in 2011 by Wemyss Malts. A release of 360 bottles.
Nose: Caramel, pears and toffee apple on the nose, with notes of cinnamon, honey and granary toast.
Palate: Warming, spiced notes of Bramley apples stewed in syrup with cinnamon and nutmeg, a little sea air, peat smoke and toffee brittle.
Finish: Salty, buttery and spiced.

This was my bottle for my annual end of year office dram. Wonderfully warming on the nose with heather honey notes. On the palate it becomes a gentle warmth with very gentle peat with a distinct autumnal feel.Very much enjoyed across the Liv-Ex office.RichardHead of Product - Liv-Ex
