Aultmore - Batch 2 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

Boutique-y Aultmore #2 Bottling Note

This is the second batch of the very popular Aultmore from That Boutique-y Whisky Company - an independent bottler of small batches of whisky from some of Scotland's finest distilleries. Each whisky in the range comes with a specially drawn, graphic-novel-style illustration with references to interesting tidbits about the distilleries. In the case of Aultmore, however, no interesting tidbit could be found and, as such, an illustration of a shark battling a Velociraptor was chosen instead.

This is a release of 226 numbered bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, bourbons, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Toasted, charred oak on the nose, with hints of zesty, fragrant lemon and a little kiwi. It develops with all kinds of winter spice, as well as lime peel and dried herbs.

Palate: Rich and incredibly spicy palate entry with notes of vanilla custard and more of those kiwis from the nose. A little sweet citrus, allspice and buttery malt.

Finish: Long, fruity finish. Peppermint, a touch of cocoa and fresh pepper.

Overall: A very fruity, spicy Aultmore...
