Auchentoshan American Oak Reserve (1L)

Sorry about this...

We can't actually ship Auchentoshan American Oak Reserve (1L) to you in United States at the moment. We're working on a solution, but until then, here are some alternatives:

American Oak Reserve Bottling Note

As part of Auchentoshan's Travel Retail market offering, the American Oak Reserve is similar to its ace American Oak expression, but whereas the original was matured in first-fill American oak casks, this one is aged in first-fill American oak bourbon casks. There's a strong case for using this to give classic American whiskey-based cocktails a twist. Reckon it'll do well in an Old Fashioned, we do.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Cornbread, persimmon, honey and a hint of toasted coriander.

Palate: Bitter peels, heavy vanilla, oat biscuits and butterscotch sweeties.

Finish: Another flash of bright citrus before some nutty hints of almond biscuits appear.

Auchentoshan American Oak Reserve (1L) Reviews

Never a poor Auchentoshan

I get toasted almonds and vanilla, on the nose, with notes of honey; touch of lemon.

Smooth & quite thick, with lots of citrus and vanilla.

Mild finish... more citrus - boiled lemon sweets - mildly spicy, with a little black pepper and a hint of caramel.

I've noticed a little snobbery around Auchentoshans.... coloured, no age statement and such. I don't think I've ever had one that I didn't like. That list now includes 13 different expressions, so I'll flatter myself that it's informed.
