A refill hogshead-matured Auchentoshan, distilled in December of 1997 and aged for 14 years before bottling for Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask range in March of 2012. A release of just 303 bottles.
Nose: Sweet and spiced. Gristy, notes of milk chocolate and apple blossom.
Palate: A tingling palate with barley sugar, orange zest and rhubarb crumble with custard.
Finish: Nutmeg and orange marmalade.
